NEW REGISTRANTS: PLEASE READ the Terms and Conditions as outlined below in their entirety before completing our online registration process. By completing your registration and paying for your first month’s tuition you are agreeing to our Membership Agreement as follows:
Registration Fee—A non-refundable registration fee is required for proper enrollment along with a standard registration form. Registration and enrollment are not considered complete until this fee and the first month’s tuition are paid in full. The Fall/Spring registration fee is $30 per child. This fee will be paid once annually and is non-refundable.
Tuition and Fees—In order for each student to participate in any of the programs offered at Lonestar Dance, all paperwork must be completed and fees paid in full. All fees are non-refundable. Tuition is Due on the 1st of each month—Lonestar Dance is on a computer system; we DO NOT send out a monthly reminder. All payments should be turned in by the 1st of the month. They will be considered late after the 7th and will be assessed a $15.00 late fee. If the account needs reconciliation, you will receive an email notification after the 7th of the month. If a payment is returned for NSF or for any other reason, your account will be assessed a $30 reprocessing fee. You will receive a statement only for returned payments, late tuition, or unpaid costume fees. We will email important news throughout the year; it is important that you keep your email address current throughout the year. It is the responsibility of the parent to notify our office if you are not receiving important emails and/or if your information changes. Please email [email protected] to let us know you have not received emails. Tuition remains the same whether the month is long (5 weeks) or short (2 weeks) and regardless of absences. Tuition has been calculated for the whole year and divided into nine equal payments. August and June are the only two months that are prorated. If tuition payment is two months delinquent, student is subject to dismissal.
Sibling Discount – Families with 2 or more dancers will receive $20 off the total family tuition. Families with 3 or more dancers will receive $30 off the total family tuition.
Referral Program– Lonestar Dance Center offers an ongoing Referral Incentive Program. If you refer a new student you are eligible for tuition discounts. The rules and regulations are as follows:
1. New registrants only (no retro-active referrals may apply towards discount).
2. New registrants must sign up for at least one full month of dance for discount to be applied.
3. New registrant must write your name on their registration form (bottom of page 1).
4. For each new registrant you refer you can earn a one-time discount of 20% off the next month’s tuition up to a flat rate of $30 (per referral).
Non-sufficient Funds or Returned Checks—There will be a $30 charge on all returned checks. After two NSF checks.
Payments must be in the form of cash, cashier’s check, or money order.
Insurance—Lonestar Dance DOES NOT carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family’s insurance policies and if injury occurs, it is understood that the student’s own policy is your only source of reimbursement.
Bad Weather—The studio will not necessarily close for snow days. We follow PISD. Many times roads are clear and safe by around 2:30pm. If in doubt, call the studio phone for a recording on class closings, check the website: www.lonestardance.com or our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/LonestarDance. If we do close the studio due to bad weather, you may make-up any days missed during a comparable class.
Holidays—Holidays will follow the Pflugerville Independent School District Calendar–with the exception of Thanksgiving and winter breaks. Holiday dates will always be posted and on the studio recorder. We are only closed MAJOR HOLIDAYS. We DO NOT CLOSE for Staff Development Days. We do not prorate for bad weather days or holidays.
Attendance—Attendance will be taken at each class. Regular attendance is imperative as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class and the studio cannot jeopardize its responsibilities to the rest of the class for one student. Please make every effort to have your child at every class. You may make up any days missed due to an illness, but only during the same month. During the months of May and June, there will be no make up classes due to classes practicing for their recital pieces. There are NO refunds, credits, or prorated tuition for missed lessons. If you are registered, you are responsible for the full monthly tuition.
Class Observation— The first week of each month (Sept.-March) is designated as class observation week. During this time the curtains will be open in the dance rooms for you to observe the class. The curtains may be closed during all other weeks. At times this is at the discretion of the instructor. We have found the children do much better when the instructor can have their sole attention.
Recital—Students work hard all year, recital is their opportunity to exhibit their hard work. There will be a Holiday Benefit Performance, December 10th and our Annual Recital will take place June 9-10, 2017. Please plan your vacations accordingly.
Holiday Benefit Fees—Holiday Recital fee is due on or before October 15th, 2017 and is $40 per family. The Holiday Recital is a benefit and therefore all tickets will be given as a donation to the charity that we are benefiting.
Spring Recital Fee—There is a non-refundable Spring Recital Fee of $90 per family that is due on or before March 11th, 2017. Again, if a check is returned NSF, your account will be assessed a $30 reprocessing fee. The recital fee is separate from your costume fee and goes to pay rental of the auditorium, ticket printing, insurance, props, backdrops, paying technicians, etc. Each family will receive four recital tickets. If the fee is 30 days or more late, you will be subject to an additional late fee of $20. Recital participation is required.
Costume fees— Each dancer will be responsible for a $25 costume deposit per class due November 1, 2016. The balance payment for costumes is due on or before February 17, 2017. If payment is returned NSF or for any other reason, your account will be assessed a $30 reprocessing fee. It takes several months for the costumes to be made and shipped back to the studio. Costumes will cost between $65 and $140 typically; depending on the class. The costume fee is not refundable once the costume(s) has been ordered. If an exchange is possible (for size only); there is a $10-$20 exchange/shipping fee depending on the costume vendor. Alternative costs, including alterations, are your responsibility. There will not be a costume fee for the Holiday Performance. If the fee is 30 days or more late, you will be subject to an additional late fee based on the costs incurred by the company. Hip Hop classes may or may not incur a costume fee, instead they may be instructed on the parameters of the “street attire” they will need for the performance.
Withdrawals—Any student who drops out of the program MUST GIVE 30-DAY WRITTEN NOTICE TO THE OFFICE. You will be responsible for partial tuition if the notice is given in the middle of the month. Additionally in this event, all recital fees, costumes and costume fees, and contest fees are forfeited and are all non-refundable. Lonestar Dance reserves the right to ask anyone to leave Lonestar Dance if they are not acting in the best interest of Lonestar Dance. If class enrollment is too small, Lonestar Dance reserves the right to cancel or combine that class with another appropriate class.
Parent-Teacher Communication –Please understand that the teachers are on a strict time schedule and will call or email you if it is necessary to speak with a teacher. We are pleased to welcome you to Lonestar Dance. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to discuss them with us whenever it does not interfere with class time. We are always interested in improving your child’s dance education!

We use the given e-mail address as our main mode of communication regarding your dancer. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
