This past May, Anna received her BFA in Dance from the University of Texas at Austin. She was also on Texas Pom for 4 years, where she was head of choreography, but her dance career began long before. Anna has 19 years of dance experience and started dancing when she was 3 years old in Dallas, TX. She began competitive dance at age 8 and was on her high school drill team, serving as Junior Lieutenant, then Captain her senior year.

Anna is a dancer, an artist, and a dance educator. As the latter, she believes in sharing her knowledge and experiences with the next generation of dancers, artists, and dance educators. As a student, Anna has learned, and continues to learn, so much more than how to dance, or proper technique. While that is important and necessary, her goal as your teacher is for your student to leave my class also with a sense of discipline, creative expression, community, timeliness, and critical thinking. In addition to expanding both your verbal and movement dance vocabularies, Anna hopes you come to understand dance etiquette and respect, confidence, your own artistry, and have a hunger to learn more.
